Dolly Parton has made a HUGE announcement that is not something we usually hear from artists. She is taking a new route and plans to release her first children’s album. According to The Tennessean, the LP will be called I Believe in You and feature 13 new songs written by Parton. “My first album was released 50 years ago and it’s been an amazing 50 years since then,” Parton says in a statement. “I am very excited that now I’m coming out with my first children’s album in all of those 50 years. I’m proudest of all that all of the proceeds from this CD will go to the Imagination Library.” Founded by Parton in 1996, the Imagination Library has provided new, age appropriate books monthly to more than one million children in four countries. The album will be available digitally September 29 and in stores on October 13.
