Hard to tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing in Garth Brook’s eyes.He has officially announced that he is shutting down his self-owned digital music service GhostTunes after recently allowing his music to be absorbed by Amazon Music Unlimited. “This is a landmark moment for both Amazon Music and Garth Brooks,” says Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, in a statement shared by Taste of Country. “Garth Brooks is a legendary country music superstar who continues to shatter industry records and amaze fans three decades into his career. We are honored to make his music available for streaming for the first time ever, exclusively on Amazon Music.” According to MusicRow, GhostTunes users will have until March 3 to transfer all of their music to Amazon Music Unlimited at no charge.
BUT Garth seems to have something else up his sleeve… StudioG. He went live on facebook yesterday to explain all about it.
